Individual Provisional Memberships are $25 for 3 months (for persons who have never trained in agility). Individual Memberships are $75 per year (for persons who are experienced agility handlers). Family Memberships are $100 per year (for family members who are living at the same residence). Individual and Family Memberships only include use of the club's agility field. YOU MUST BE A CURRENT MEMBER OF OUR CLUB IN GOOD STANDING TO TRAIN AT OUR FIELD. The field is open for use from 7:00 AM - 9:30 PM. The club has three fenced in agility rings each with full sets of agility equipment. All members are required to keep the rings clean and the equipment in excellent condition. We host several agility trials in and around Jacksonville each year. We ask that all members work at our trials. All members have to opportunity to earn club vouchers by working at our trials. These vouchers can be used toward future trial entry fees. We appreciate our volunteers. Renewing Members: If you are renewing your membership, please use the Membership Renewal Form below. New Members (with Agility experience): To join Pals and Paws Inc. you must meet at least ONE of the first FOUR requirements in addition to the remaining requirements, and complete the New Member Application included below, sign a Waiver and pay dues. 1. You are an experienced agility competitor meaning you are either currently competing or have previously trained and competed in agility. 2. You are currently taking agility classes, and your instructor feels you have the knowledge and skills to safely train your dog at our practice field. (Instructor does not have to be one of the instructors teaching at the club practice field.) 3. You are not taking agility classes; however, your most recent instructor feels you have the knowledge and skills to safely train your dog at our practice field. (Instructor does not have to be one of the instructors teaching at the club practice field.) 4. A member of the club agrees to sponsor you and will work with you and your dog(s) at the club practice field. 5. You are currently following your veterinarians’ recommendation to assure your dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. 6. All members have the opportunity to participate/volunteer at agility events throughout the year and attend a member meeting during the year. New Members (with little or no Agility experience): To join Pals and Paws Inc. you must meet all of the following requirements, complete the Provisional Membership Application included below, sign a Waiver, sign up for classes with an approved club instructor (Instructor does not have to be one of the instructors teaching at the club practice field), and pay dues. 1. Your provisional membership is an INDIVIDUAL membership only and is for three (3) months only. You will not be given the field access codes or allowed on the field without an approved club instructor (Instructor does not have to be one of the instructors teaching at the club practice field). 2. Your provisional membership will not be approved and will not begin until you sign up for classes with an approved club instructor (Instructor does not have to be one of the instructors teaching at the club practice field). 3. At the end of three (3) months, if your instructor feels you have the knowledge and skills to safely train your dog at our practice field, you may apply for full membership. 4. You are currently following your veterinarians’ recommendation to assure your dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. ------------------------------------------------- If you are approved for membership, you will receive a welcome packet with information about membership and field use. |
